(Task 4 Week 6)
This is a piece I wrote after having a mystical vision. I believe that if read correctly, my poetry allows foreseeing what Blake is talking about in his poem: “To See a World…”
“To see a world in a grain of sand / and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand / and eternity in an hour” (Blake, To See a World…)
Sophia, intelligence in nature and flowery spirit that sprinkles in every particle of all thing in the universe. Help me not to place hope in me which is futile and vain but remind me always to hold hope and trust in you. As I know of myself I’m nothing; that without you I’m lost, empty and pointless. And by abandoning unreservedly, entirely, my whole self into the care of your great wisdom –for as you know better than anyone what is you have designed for each one of us, including me indigenously entwined with the extended world— I humbly ask you guidance. Give me direction and strength, which through enlightened vision and genuine open-mindedness, opens the doors of perception, transcending the mind into the soul, over to the realm of an everlasting faith. Though, since from the light of the sun and its stardust, add momentum has arisen our comets and beautiful Earth, if god is the sum of all that exists, Sophia is the spirit that compels me to it. A new order of reality where the notions of time and space are absolutely of no importance anymore, a shift dimension from which emerges a greater kind of consciousness of an infinitely superior degree. Beyond good and evil, beyond certitude and truth… an all-attractive and all-inclusive metaphysical spectrum of prime energy, which infuses within me the holistic nature of the universe (Tibby).
